Week 53 in Mexico, Week 23 in Zihuatanejo

Last week went pretty good.  We had the Stake Conference which was really good.  An area seventy came, and we talked to him afterwards, and he is from where my companion is from.  That was the biggest thing that happened this week.  Okay, so here are some of the pictures from when we went to the stake conference.  We usually don´t use  suits so we took a picture.  Our ward rented a bus to go the the chapel in San Jeronimito.  Its about 30 minutes from here.  It was really good and the area seventy talked a lot about the importance of missionary work.  Also some of the people that we were working with got the Melchizedek priesthood.  I actually got to confer it to a member in our ward.  Today, we went to like a crocodile zoo type thing.  Its a reservation for crocodiles and iguanas.  We weren´t there for much time, but it was really cool to see lots of crocodiles and iguanas.   This last Saturday, Diana gave us lunch.  It was super good and she is super grateful and signed up for this week too.  It´s going to be hard for me when its time for me to go.
Oh also, I forgot to explain, in the last email, there was a picture of a green heart shaped fruit.  This is called guanabana, and they make it into juice here a lot, and it tastes pretty good, but looks really weird, just thought I might send a picture of that.  Have a great week.

Week 52 in Mexico, Week 22 in Zihuatanejo

Okay, so this week has also been super hot here.  Today we went to the Parthenon again, but this time we went in and took pictures. Yes, Diana and Elizabeth did get baptized.  Actually all of our district baptized this week.  It was pretty cool. It was a really good baptismal service.  Lots of people went and everyone was really happy.  The sister missionaries bought a cake, and my companion and I bought some banana bread.  My companion baptized the sister missionaries investigator, the ward mission leader baptized Elizabeth, and I baptized Diana.  I have tons of pictures for this week  It was super great, but really hot.  It was way hot, and last night it was so bad that we took ice out of the fridge to put it in front of the fan to try to keep cool.  It didn´t really work that well, but we will probably try it again because the heat is terrible, and we don´t have air conditioning.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.  There are a lot of them.

Week 51 in Mexico, Week 21 in Zihuatanejo

This week was pretty good.  We had a hurricane down here yesterday.  Nothing really happened, just like 2 hours of really heavy rain and then it stopped and it didn´t rain any more.  We did get to go eat with members from Utah, they gave us pizza and lots of Oreo cookies.  It was pretty good.  Besides that the week has been pretty normal,  We are trying to finish up the teaching with Diana because her baptism is this week.  I don´t think that there will be a problem with her, but maybe her daughter because we haven´t taught her everything still.  So we are going to meet with her everyday for the next few days.  Also, it was interesting, because she went with the sister missionaries from the other ward to go visit people, and she really liked it a lot.  It was good for her, she was so excited to share what she has learned.  We also went to go have our last meeting with our mission president.  It was a pretty cool experience.  He told us all that he wanted a marriage invitation from everyone of us.  He also told us some goals that we should have for the next couple of years or months after the mission.  There is a picture of a crab that we caught in the house of a member, it was pretty interesting, then it got a hold of the ruler and wouldn´t let go, so I got a picture.
Have a good week.

Week 50 in Mexico, Week 20 in Zihuatanejo

Hi everyone!  So far this week has been pretty good.  We had a zone meeting, and stuff.  Our investigators are doing good.  Diana is progressing a lot.  We finished up teaching lesson 4 and started lesson 5.  She has accepted all of the lessons, and even made a cake for my companion.  Its really interesting how grateful people are for what we do as missionaries.  Her baptismal date is for the 18th, so we are super excited for that.  Also Crescencia is doing pretty good.  She has had some problems recently, but she is doing good.  She shared her testimony yesterday, and it was a really cool experience.  We also started giving English classes this last Saturday.  We will be giving them for the next 3 Saturdays until the end of the transfer.  I can´t believe how fast the time has gone, and how much has happened.  The climate is pretty good now, sometimes it cools down for a little when it rains.  A hurricane passed by the other day, we only got a little but it was still a lot of rain.  Anyway, my time is just about up.
Have a great week.

Week 49 in Mexico, Week 19 in Zihuatanejo

Hi Everyone, this week went good as far as our investigators.  Diana and her daughter went to church yesterday, but her son didn´t.  We still haven´t taught a lesson with him, but Diana tells us that he is passing for some challenges in his life.  We are going to try to help him this week so he can be baptized before this transfer is over.  This week we taught Diana the word of wisdom and the law of chastity, and she accepted it really easily, which was really good.  We were also able to start teaching a friend of a member in our area, and he liked it a lot, and even went to church, but he doesn´t live in our area, so we are going to give the reference to the other missionaries.  Not much else happened this week.  Just that in the next couple of weeks, we are going to have to travel every week for something.  It should be pretty interesting.  Any way, I hope you all have a great week!

Week 48 in Mexico, Week 18 in Zihuatanejo

Okay, Hi everyone!  This week has been pretty good.  My companion and I bought a pizza because we thought that we were going to have transfers, but no, so we just ate pizza.  This week we finally got with Diana, after not being able to contact her.  She is really excited for her baptism, and her daughter too.  Good news, Diana brought her son, who is like 25, to church this past week, and he liked it, I think.  He was there for all 3 hours, and we also started to teach with Crescencia´s friend, who works with her in her restaurant.  She might progress, she is a little shy, but we´ll see what happens.  We didn´t have transfers and that's a good thing, because this transfer lots of things are going to happen.  My companion´s birthday, stake conference, 2 zone conferences, I´m going to sign my visa, Diana´s baptism, and some other stuff that I would have missed.  The only problem is that I have to travel to Guadalajara to sign my visa, and it is 10 hours in bus, so I´m going to lose 2 days this transfer. This past week we had the last district meeting, and this picture is of the 2 districts in Guerrero.

It is officially the rainy season here, but we are still waiting for just a little bit.  It gets way hot here, and all I want is a little rain to cool it down.  Everyone says that when it rains here, it rains hard, so it should be pretty exciting now that its going to start up here soon.
OK I´ve got to go!

Week 47 in Mexico, Week 17 in Zihuatanejo

Okay, Hi everyone!  How is everyone doing?  This week has been pretty good.  We have had some good experiences, and been able to find more people to teach.  Crescencia got baptized and I was the one who got to baptize her. 12 missionaries came to the baptism, because we had a meeting with an area seventy.  It was a good service, and lots of people came.  That was the big thing that happened this week.  Some members also took us to go meet some of there friends, and they accepted to be taught!  So we have found some more people to teach.  Diana and her daughter had to move, and now don´t live in our area, but it is only something temporary.  They did accept a baptismal date, but weren´t able to come to church, and we haven´t been able to contact her, because we don´t have minutes on our cellphone, the good news is that today we get more minutes.   Also, this is the last week of the transfer.  I think I might be going, but I´m not sure.  We are going to find out this Sunday in the night.  I can´t believe I got here in this area in January.  Oh, something else happened this week.  Yesterday, a less active member invited us to come to a family home evening, and we went, and the whole family was there.  There were about 25-30 people there, and it was really good.  At the end, they gave us tons of food.  Now we are hoping that all of them can make it to church to start being active in the church again.

Have a good week.
